Amy Sweezey has spent nearly 30 years in broadcast meteorology at radio and television stations in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Florida. She left full-time TV news in 2020 and now freelances for several media companies worldwide.
As Founder and CEO of Social Weather, LLC, Amy’s on-camera portfolio includes Carnival Cruise Lines, the multi-media platforms of Growing Bolder, Convention News Television (CNTV) and nationwide local affiliates of ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and Spectrum News.
For 18 years, Amy was part of the weather team on WESH-2 News (NBC) and WKCF CW-18 in Orlando.
Before Central Florida, Amy lived in the midwest forecasting weather for WWMT-TV (CBS) in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and at WSJV-TV in South Bend, Indiana.

Long before her weather career began, Amy scooped ice cream! That’s right! One of 20 things that might surprise you about Amy is that her first job was at The Frosty Boy in southeast Michigan (where she says, “I made $1.60 per hour and was very excited the day I got a raise to $2.10 per hour.”).
