About the Author

Meteorologist Amy Sweezey combined her two favorite things -- forecasting weather and educating the next generation -- to create engaging resources for young readers.

She's written two children’s books about weather -- one fiction and one nonfiction -- and developed two elementary-level weather workbooks based on Florida’s state standards for science and weather.

Amy's Let's Talk Weather, TV Forecasting: Behind the Scenes, won both a GOLD and BRONZE MEDAL in the 2018 Florida Authors & Publishers Association President's Book Awards.
